The weekend of gluttony

Saturday Lunch after a big Friday night

Grilled Tomato, ham & cheese. With a Milo. Literally dropped my iPad straight onto it five seconds after taking this. Milo waterfall....

On Saturday night I went to Santa Fe in Subiaco. It's a Mexican Restaurant and Tequila Lounge. I had been meaning to go there for quite a while. Those Mexicans really know how to eat and drink!! I went with my friend Matilda, she is a Santa Fe devotee from way back. A storm whipped around outside while we sat warm & dry inside.

Natural blue and yellow corn chip nachos.. With a side of guacamole! Delicious

Luckily we were just in time for happy hour, we ordered a cocktail each and were then informed that four drinks would be coming out. These are the rules of the Santa Fe Happy Hour, so we obliged.

Matilda with a Strawberry Daiquiri

Me with a Watermelon Margarita.. Very refreshing!

My dessert was Churros with Spanish chocolate. It was lovely, very decadent.

Sunday Morning, I walked down to Claisebrook Cove and happened upon The Partisan.. I walked in and was shown a table by the window.

I had a Mocha

And Croquet Provincial (ham and cheese toastie)

It was great and was just what I needed after the previous night!!!

Breakfast at The Dizzy Witch

This morning i had a lovely solo breakfast at the The Dizzy Witch Café in Northbridge. The cafe is quite small and very busy and bustling. The kitchen is tiny and seemingly crammed with chefs, though what they create is delicious!

I had the Mushrooms on Toast. The mushrooms were cooked with thyme, garlic and cream and there were three thick, buttery, crusty slices of bread to enjoy with it.

I also had a mug of Mocha was perfect for the morning "zing" I usually need.

As the cafe is on a quiet little street in Northbridge I sat outside and enjoyed the winter sunshine and read my book. I will definitely be back!

Dinner with Renae

Tonight I went out for dinner with my friend Renae. We took a short stroll to the The Royal in East Perth.. One of my favorite haunts. I love how the view of Claisebrook Cove is always pretty no matter what the season. I apologize for the terrible iPhone pictures!

Natural oysters and Oysters Kilpatrick

Seafood Chowder

Renae had Spinach Gnocchi, I had a taste and it was about as appetizing as it looked!

This is Renae

Caramel Cheesecake for desert!

It was a lovely meal all in all and much cheaper than we expected. Plus it's always nice to catch up with friends
